I thought I was getting a versatile hub of connectivity, a step up from the plain metal V-mount rack I already had. Instead of receiving the 'New Version' with a Type C connector with Power Delivery Input and Output capability, I got the Old Version. I wouldn't have been offended by this, except for the fact that they just black marked the line about Type C Connectivity on the outside label, and included an instruction sheet that pictures the Type C connector, indicator light, and also lists the 'TYPE C agreement'. I received the model in the second column which simply says 'NO' for 'TYPE C agreement'. I guess the black marker crew didn't unfold the 1980's style Xerox sheet from the Chinese language side to the English language side. The Moman battery I attached has better connectivity options than this Kocackoo plate. With the exception of the nifty aluminum mounting arm with the cool blue t handles, it appears to be a heavy block of plastic, at a premium price. If you decide to go with Kocackoo, they have an upgraded model with Type C for $18 more at the time of this review. Give this model a pass- Kocackoo also has a few very similar products listed for $30 - $40 less, more in line with their capabilities.I ordered this so that I could attach my V-Mount battery to my 15mm rail system that I use to support my camera and teleprompter. The unit comes with several types of power cables and includes a cloth bag for storage or transportation. I mounted it on the rear of my rig since the teleprompter is a bit front-heavy. The weight of the battery makes an effective counterbalance.I tested it using two brands of V-Mount batteries: ZGCine and Moman. Both batteries are large and heavy (74mmx108mmx55mm, 99Wh, 14.8V, 6800mAh). It held both batteries securely. The battery locks into place and a release button must be pressed to release it. However, I did have some difficulty tightening the clamps that hold the battery at the correct angle. They need to be very tight to support the weight of the battery.There are several output ports that can connect to a variety of equipment. However, there is only one USB A port. I wish there were a couple more including a USB C port. Fortunately, my battery has a couple of ports built into it and I can use those in addition to the one on this mount. So far, I have used it to power and charge my Android tablet, charge my microphone transmitters and receiver, and power my field monitor using one of the included power cords.Overall, I like this device. It is a useful addition to my system and at a decent price.So I find this attachment quite tricky to position depending on the weight of the v-mount battery. Initially, I used a smaller sized 50Wh/14.8V v-mount battery from SmallRig. It worked just well. However, for the second test I used a somewhat larger 99Wh v-mount battery from Moman, and it proved to be some trouble. The weight of it caused me to have some trouble with tightening the clamps that hold the battery at an adjustable angle, and I found that some angles worked, while others didn't.Other from that, I can still say that this battery plate will suffice for many of your needs, as it certainly did for me.
