Does a great job in the sun. Has the expected features for this price point. My only issue, after about a year, the screen started to flicker and turn green. I wrote ANDYCINE support and they took responsibility for it. Sent me out a replacement FREE of charge and no hassle. They stood behind their product and I can't ask for anything more than that. Great customer support. Definitely will buy from them again. Thank you ANDYCINE!!Excellent product, included manual could be a little more informativeGreat piece of gear. Only complaint is the menu and colors aren't the best, and the yoke is super flimsy but for the price it's still very worth it.I have used a ton of monitors including products from SmallHD, Atomos, and others. This particular monitor offers features not found on others in this price range. First, let's talk about the build quality. It's made of a polycarbonate plastic material that makes it light weight which means strapping this 7" monitor to a camera like the A73 is possible without adding a ton of unnecessary weight. It's suitable for gimbals and shoulder rigs as well. There are plenty of physical buttons including a few customizable ones if you do not want to use the touchscreen at any time. For example, I like to disable the touch screen when out in the field to avoid smudges and smears. They interfere with the visibility and light reflectivity when in direct sunlight. So, having the option to go touch-less means less wiping down my monitor which ultimately means I have less of a chance scratching my display. Speaking of the display, it's a great. It has a crystal clean image, with pretty accurate colors, and great peak brightness. It's a pretty reflective display but it gets bright enough that it shouldn't be a problem in most scenarios. The touch OS Andycine is using is great and super intuitive. It also offers tons of customization for quickly accessing modes and settings on the fly. The modes I typically use in every shoot are false color, zebras, 1:1 zoom, focus peaking, and I also add the horizontal and vertical flip options to the quick access bar. This is because this particular monitor comes with a nice mount with a cold shoe attached to it. It allows you to quickly flip the monitor from front to back in case you're filming yourself. Having the vertical and horizontal flip options in the quick access menu allows me to ensure I'm also in correct orientation. There is also audio controls built right into the monitor which is great for cameras that don't have headphone jacks. It takes Sony L style batteries which can be picked up super cheap however it does have 1 in the box along with a charger and a travel case. I've used AndyCine monitors in the past and what I love about them is how much value they bring. They always include tons of additional accessories giving you the ability to pull a monitor out of the box and use it right away which is nice. This is the same case with this particular monitor. If you're in the market for a great 7" monitor that's for the most part day light visible and you don't want to spend a fortune, make sure to check out this one. This monitor makes getting the shot right way easier. Love brightness. Love dual battery slots love false colors, touch to zoom in for checking critical focus and peaking display. Makes my work easier and better. The only negative is my fist one started to fail..looked like false colors all the time after a miute or so of turning it on. Im not sure if i wore it out or if i may have shortened the life span as it had one decent fall onto a floor a few months prior. I still took a gamble and bought another because i liked it so much. Especially for the price point and features you get.not the most durably built product, but if you aren't a pro videographer or photographer making high budget movies this thing is perfect.I really like the monitor. The cable that came with it is horrible though. With very little use it got bent and you can even see the interior now. The signal started blinking from time to time because of the bad connection and now it's almost impossible to get it to transmit the signal. I'm going to buy another cable.I have room only for a 7 in teleprompter, to look at my friend when I talk on Zoom or Skype. The C7 touchscreen is useful for zooming on the settings. (Above there is a huge 77 in monitor, but it is nice to look at the person you talk to straight.)I use the very bright C7 monitor, to focus my attention on the person I talk to. Compared with a 300 nit 7in monitor which I use as a talent camera on the side, the C7 matches that one at 20% back light, even through a teleprompter mirror with 30% reflectance. At 100% back light it is VERY bright, the brightest thing in the room, so it focuses one's attention. The only problem was that the monitor is so bright, it lit the black ceiling of the teleprompter and reflected back as a haze in the camera. I solved that by covering that teleprompter ceiling with an ultra black Koyo paper, the blackest in the world, it seems...Note that the AndyCine C7 manual is better and more accurate from the Feelworld C7, which is the exact same product, made by the same company. We didn’t get a battery or a case for the monitor
